Conseil Européen pour les Professionnels et les Thérapies Intégratives
Official Position of CEPTI on Recognised Therapies
The European Council for Integrative Professionals and Therapies (CEPTI) formally recognises a comprehensive spectrum of therapeutic modalities under the categories of integrative, complementary, traditional, alternative, and emerging therapies. These approaches collectively represent a structured and inclusive framework designed to support human health in its full complexity, encompassing physical, emotional, mental, spiritual, energetic, social, and vocational well-being, as well as the creative and environmental dimensions of holistic balance.
Such therapies may be applied independently or in conjunction with conventional medical practices, depending on various factors, including the individual’s cultural background, prevailing scientific and academic frameworks, broader social and community contexts, professional and ethical standards, and the specific therapeutic setting in which care is provided.
CEPTI acknowledges that these practices are rooted in a rich and diverse range of sources – from ancestral knowledge systems, indigenous healing traditions, and cultural lineages, to contemporary scientific advancements, technological innovation, and emerging models of holistic care. They are implemented by qualified practitioners and professionals who have received training in nationally and internationally recognised disciplines.
These therapeutic modalities are intended not only to support preventive care and therapeutic intervention but also to foster personal development, emotional resilience, and the dynamic integration of well-being across all dimensions of the human experience.
The European Council for Integrative Professionals and Therapies / Le Conseil Européen pour les Professionnels et les Thérapies Intégratives - CEPTI is the pan-European, non-governmental organisation committed to the recognition, standardisation, and responsible integration of complementary and alternative health practices across Europe.
We bring together institutions, certified practitioners, professionals, educators, and researchers who support a multi-dimensional approach to health and wellbeing – one that values the interconnection between physical, emotional, mental, energetic, and cultural factors.
CEPTI provides a common framework for collaboration, visibility, and ethical guidance across diverse therapeutic traditions within the European space.
At CEPTI, we:
We act as the professional platform, accreditation body, and collective voice for those working to improve health and wellbeing beyond conventional limits.
As more people across Europe turn to integrative and complementary approaches to improve their well-being, CEPTI responds to a growing need:
🟢 to unite our fragmented field,
🟢 to protect the public through high-quality standards,
🟢 to help practitioners & professionals thrive in an inclusive, recognized, and professionally governed framework.
We believe in healing through unity, and in the power of an integrative approach that respects tradition, ancestral science, and the human experience.
